ANSWER- “All new school employees, volunteers and interns shall receive the required information and training as part of their orientation…”

 

QUESTIONAre professional development credits available for this inservice?

ANSWER- Yes.  Each successful participant receives a one hour professional development credit at the completion of the course.

 

QUESTIONWill the district be notified as to which teachers have successfully completed the program?

ANSWER– The district will receive a list of all the teachers who have completed the program.  Districts may call at any time for a status report on the progress of their staff members.

 

QUESTION How long do participants have to complete the program?

ANSWER– Each participant has 45 calendar days to complete the program.  At the end of that time period the program will no longer be accessible by that individual participant.

 

QUESTION Does the inservice contain all the information about the new dual reporting requirement?

ANSWER– Yes, the dual reporting requirement is covered in the program materials.

 

QUESTIONWhat happens if months later a participant needs to review program materials and related regulations?

ANSWER – All regulations, program materials and citations are always available at the OTIS website, otis.moesc.org, 24/7), for anyone to download and/or view.
