Registration

Q. How does a staff member get their username and password?

A. For the initial username and password they need to contact the report administrator for their district. The report administrator should have a list of all the usernames and passwords for that district. If they forgot their password, they can go to http://otislogon.moesc.org and click the “Yes, help me log in” button.

Q. Where do I logon to register staff members, to generate reports, or to login to a course?

A. To register staff members, go tohttp://otis.moesc.org. To login to a course or generate reports, login to http://otislogon.moesc.org.

Q. Can my district do whole group instruction?

A. Only through the OTIS Live component. To learn more please contact Carly Londrigan at clondrigan@moesc.org for more information.

Q. Do staff members have the same username and password for each course?

A. No, staff members have a different username for each course. Please contact your district’s report administrator for your usernames.

Getting Reports and Status of Course Completion

Q. Can I download the grade report by school?

A.Yes. Log into http://otislogon.moesc.org and then in the upper left click on “Administrators Click Here for Reports”. Then on the next page find the “Participant Management” link under the course you need a report for. The next page will have several dropdown boxes that you can use to filter the reports. One of the fields in the report table will be “School”.

Q. Who is the Report Administrator?

A. The Report Administrator is the person in a district designated as the one to be able to generate reports that show who has and has not completed the training. Log into http://otislogon.moesc.org and then in the upper left click on “Administrators Click Here for Reports”. Then on the next page find the “Participant Management” link under the course you need a report for. The next page will have several dropdown boxes that you can use to filter the reports.

Q. Initially, how does the Report Administrator retrieve usernames and passwords? What should I do if I do not receive an email with the usernames and passwords?

A. The Report Administrator does not receive an email with the usernames and passwords. He or she has to go to http://otis.moesc.org and login if he or she has not already. Hover over Customer Service on the left and in the pop-up menu click “Your Account”. Scroll down to Order/Billing history and click on Students List for the list of Students.

Q. How do I get an invoice after I have registered?

A. Go to http://otis.moesc.org and login. Hover over Customer Service on the left and in the pop-up menu click “Your Account”. Scroll down to Order/Billing history and click on the Order Number for the invoice.

Q. How do I know who has taken the course and who has started and has not finished?

A. Log into http://otislogon.moesc.org and then in the upper left click on “Administrators Click Here for Reports”. Then on the next page find the “Participant Management” link under the course you need a report for. The next page will have several dropdown boxes that you can use to filter the reports. Use the “User Status” dropdown to see who has completed the course.

Problems

Q. What if I can’t I upload the teacher list?

A. For an order to go through successfully the uploaded file must meet certain requirements:

  • Must be in a text (file ends in .txt), tab-delimited format - Only tabs between values (as shown below)
  • No symbols
  • No encrypted files
  • Must have Firstname, Lastname, School, School District - in exact order
  • Must include headers firstname, lastname, school, schooldistrict in text file

Before uploading a file:
  • Make sure the above is met.
  • Check accuracy of content.
  • Ensure right file is being selected to upload.
  • Ensure correct number of names are included.
  • Also, when uploading the file do not have the file open on your computer.

Q. What do I need to watch the video?

A. You will need Adobe Flash player which can be downloaded for free at www.adobe.com. Also, a high speed internet connection is recommended. You will also need sound on your computer.

Q. What should I do if I can’t print the certificate?

A. To view the certificate, you need Adobe Reader which can be downloaded for free at www.adobe.com. You can only print the certificate after passing the final exam. Also, please make sure that you are connected to a working printer.

Q. Why can’t I take the test at any time?

A. You have to finish each module before you are able to take the final exam.

Q. While viewing the module, can I stop and start?

A. Yes, you can pause the video. If you log out and log back in the video will start playing at the beginning, but you can fast forward to the point stopped at before.

Q. Can I rewind or review a module?

A. Yes.
